Sixth-form student Josh Barry has made it through to the next round of Britain's Got Talent, with rumours already starting that that he is in with a good chance of winning the competition.
The 16-year-old wowed judges, Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, with a rendition of My Girl by The Temptations.
Cowell told Josh that if he met him in normal circumstances, he would advise him to join a band. "You have charisma, good looks and people like you", said Cowell.
Piers Morgan added: "You've got the looks, you've got the charm, you've got the stage presence, you've got the girls going crazy. I think that was a brilliant performance."
Holden said: "You were confident, you were a showman and you delivered. I think you've got the potential to be a great popstar."
Josh revealed that taking part in the Britain's Got Talent auditions was the biggest thing that had happened to him.
"I wasn't always the best-behaved in class and a lot of letters have been sent home for being a bit of a pain," he said.
"I can't imagine it's been very easy for my parents. I need to do well in this to prove to them I can do it."
The teenager added that he owed his singing voice to his mother, a property manager, who encouraged him to take lessons when he was eight.
"If it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't be here right now," he said.
